About the Opportunity
Skyline Recruitment is currently working on behalf of a well-established environmental consulting firm in Barrie, Ontario. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a Water & Wastewater Servicing Engineer to join their team.
This role focuses on private servicing, including the design and approval of sewage and drinking water systems for land development projects across Ontario.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to build on their technical expertise while gaining increased exposure to regulatory approvals, client interaction, and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design of private sewage (septic) and drinking water systems
- Preparation of Engineer’s Evaluation Reports
- Hydraulic calculations and technical design documentation
- Preparation and submission of MECP approval applications
- Liaising with MECP, municipalities, and Conservation Authorities
- Supporting servicing reports for land development projects
- Technical project delivery, reporting, and coordination
Qualifications

P.Eng. (Ontario) or EIT working toward licensure
- ~3+ years of experience in sewage and/or drinking water system design
- Strong knowledge of:
- Ontario Water Resources Act (OWRA)
- MECP guidelines (D-5-4, D-5-5)
- Ontario Building Code (Part 8)
- Experience preparing septic system designs, calculations, and drawings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
