About the Opportunity: Skyline Recruitment is working with a fast-growing
tenant improvement (TI) contractor with a strong presence across
Metro Vancouver to hire an experienced
TI Superintendent. This role offers the opportunity to oversee multiple interior construction projects ranging from
1,000 to 10,000 sq. ft., with individual project values typically between
$500,000 – $1 million.
With over
40 active and upcoming projects in the pipeline, this is a great opportunity for a self-motivated and organized superintendent who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The company is flexible on employment structure and is open to both
full-time employees or contract-based professionals.
What You’ll Be Doing: As TI Superintendent, you’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations across multiple commercial tenant improvement projects. You’ll ensure safety, quality, schedule, and client satisfaction are maintained throughout each job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate multiple active TI job sites across Metro Vancouver.
- Manage on-site trades, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely execution.
- Maintain daily logs, safety reports, and progress updates.
- Coordinate closely with project managers and office staff to align on project timelines and changes.
- Ensure work is completed to spec, on time, and within budget.
- Lead site meetings, inspections, and client walk-throughs.
- Enforce company and regulatory health and safety policies on-site.
- Assist with site scheduling, material deliveries, and quality control.
- Solve on-site issues proactively to avoid delays and cost overruns.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent in commercial tenant improvements.
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently (1,000 – 10,000 sq. ft.).
- Strong knowledge of TI sequencing, construction details, and subtrade coordination.
- Proven ability to manage fast-paced, short-duration interior jobs.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (travel to multiple sites required).
- Proficiency with construction reporting tools and digital documentation.
- Certification in safety (e.g., CSTS, First Aid, WHMIS) is an asset.
- Must be based in the Lower Mainland and familiar with Metro Vancouver municipalities.
