Role Overview: As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing and analyzing structural elements for complex projects. Your extensive experience in concrete dam design, spillway and intake design, penstock and/or lined tunnel design, and seismic assessments will be pivotal in ensuring the safety, reliability, and innovation of various infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities: - Lead and contribute to the design and analysis of structural elements for a diverse range of projects.
- Apply your in-depth knowledge of concrete dam design, spillway and intake design, penstock and/or lined tunnel design, and seismic assessments.
- Perform stability assessments and seismic analyses, including Response Spectrum Analysis and time history analysis.
- Develop floor design spectra and implement seismic design principles.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural solutions effectively.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers to foster their professional growth.
Requirements: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in structural engineering.
- Expertise in concrete dam design, spillway and intake design, penstock and/or lined tunnel design.
- Proficiency in seismic assessments, including stability, Response Spectrum Analysis, and time history analysis.
- Familiarity with relevant software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, ANSYS) for structural analysis.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation is highly advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
