Structural Drafter and Designer
Vancouver area, BC (Burnaby office) | C$70,000–C$110,000 annual base salary
We are recruiting a Structural Drafter/Designer for an engineering consultancy working across marine, civil and industrial infrastructure. You will help develop drawing packages ranging from individual structural components to wider facility layouts.
Responsibilities
Produce structural and civil drawings in collaboration with engineers and senior designers.
Develop plans, sections and details for feasibility, design and construction packages.
Translate design direction and mark-ups into clear, coordinated drawings.
Assist with quantity take-offs for project estimates.
Maintain drawing accuracy and consistency as designs develop.
Use digital modelling and spatial information where appropriate to support project delivery.
Qualifications
Diploma or certificate in drafting, design or a related technical discipline.
Relevant structural or civil drafting experience and strong AutoCAD capability.
Ability to interpret engineering information and produce organised drawing packages.
Civil 3D, Revit or ArcGIS experience would be an advantage.
Clear communication, attention to detail and a collaborative working style.
Interest in improving digital workflows and developing your design capability.
Compensation
Annual base salary of C$70,000–C$110,000, depending on experience and technical capability.
