About the Role
Skyline Recruitment is representing a leading General Contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering complex institutional and healthcare projects across British Columbia.
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of major healthcare projects valued at $100 million and above. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished construction professional who has successfully managed large-scale projects from pre-construction through to completion and enjoys leading high-performing teams.
This position offers a clear pathway to a Project Director role in the near future for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead major healthcare construction projects from pre-construction through to occupancy and handover.
- Manage project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and client relationships.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and overall project performance.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and site teams.
- Manage procurement strategies and subcontractor negotiations.
- Oversee financial reporting, forecasting, cost control, and change management.
- Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Ensure quality assurance, health and safety compliance, and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain strong relationships with healthcare authorities, consultants, clients, and key stakeholders.
- Drive successful project close-out, commissioning, and deficiency management.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of Project Management experience within the construction industry.
- Proven experience delivering healthcare construction projects valued at $100 million or more from inception through to completion.
- Previous experience working for a Tier 1 or large General Contractor is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of healthcare construction, complex scheduling, procurement, contract administration, and project controls.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional project delivery standards.
- A degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
