Skyline Recruitment is currently working on a confidential opportunity for an experienced Senior Underground Mine Engineer to join a well-established mining consulting group supporting projects across Canada and internationally.

This is a fully remote opportunity available to candidates based anywhere in Canada. The role would suit a technically strong mining engineer with deep underground experience, strong planning capability, and the ability to support studies, technical reporting, and project work across a range of mining assets.

The successful candidate will bring a strong combination of operational and consulting experience, with the ability to contribute to mine planning, technical studies, reporting, and client-facing project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Support underground mine planning, design, scheduling, and technical engineering work across multiple projects.
• Contribute to mining sections of technical studies and reports, including NI 43-101 documentation where required.
• Assist with opex, capex, production planning, and technical inputs for project evaluations.
• Work closely with geology, resource, geotechnical, and project teams to develop practical mining solutions.
• Review and develop mine designs, schedules, and engineering assumptions.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to clients and internal project teams.
• Support both underground and, where applicable, open-pit mining projects.
• Contribute to project delivery in a consulting environment while maintaining strong technical quality.

Required Experience

• Strong underground mining engineering experience is essential.
• Deswik experience is mandatory.
• Previous experience in mining consulting and/or technical studies is highly desirable.
• Experience contributing to NI 43-101 reports, particularly mining sections, opex, and capex inputs, is a strong asset.
• Strong understanding of mine planning, design, scheduling, and operational constraints.
• Ability to work remotely and manage deliverables independently.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multidisciplinary technical teams.

Preferred Experience

• Open-pit mining exposure would be a strong asset.
• Experience with VertSim and AutoCAD would be valuable.
• Previous experience working on Canadian and/or international mining projects.
• A mix of operating mine and consulting experience.
• Professional engineering designation, or eligibility, would be preferred.
