Senior Hydrogeologist
Location: Ontario (Remote and Hybrid Options Available)
Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 per year (based on experience and leadership background)

Skyline Recruitment is working with several leading environmental consulting firms across Canada to recruit experienced Senior Hydrogeologists. These are excellent opportunities for professionals who are passionate about groundwater management, environmental assessments, and contributing to impactful infrastructure, development, and remediation projects.
While we are prioritizing candidates based in Ontario, there are also roles available across Western Canada, the Atlantic provinces, and in fully remote capacities for well-qualified professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage groundwater investigations, site assessments, and hydrogeological studies
- Design and execute field programs including aquifer testing, well installations, and groundwater sampling
- Conduct and review groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling (e.g., MODFLOW, FEFLOW)
- Prepare high-quality technical reports, regulatory submissions, and environmental assessments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and liaise with clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and oversight to junior and intermediate staff
- Contribute to proposal development and client relationship management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Geoscience, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant consulting experience in hydrogeology or groundwater-focused roles
- Registration or eligibility for registration as a P.Geo. or P.Eng. in at least one Canadian province
- Strong knowledge of provincial and federal regulations including O. Reg. 153/04, CEAA, or equivalent
- Proficiency in hydrogeological software and modeling tools
- Proven experience in technical writing, project management, and client communication
Location Flexibility:
- Ontario: Toronto, Ottawa, Kingston, Kitchener-Waterloo, London
- Western Canada: Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and surrounding areas
- Atlantic Canada: Halifax, St. John’s (select roles)
- Remote: Fully remote options available for highly experienced candidates
