About the Opportunity
Skyline Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading global climate and performance engineering consulting firm to recruit a Senior Field Technician – Air Quality & Emissions. This organization is recognized internationally for its innovation, technical excellence, and ability to deliver high-impact environmental and infrastructure projects.
As a Senior Field Technician, you will play a key role in conducting and leading complex source emissions testing programs across a variety of industrial sectors. This position offers a blend of technical fieldwork, leadership, client interaction, and opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and conduct on-site stack testing and source emissions monitoring in accordance with federal and regional regulatory standards (e.g., EPA Reference Methods, ECCC).
- Plan, organize, and manage field deployments, including crew logistics, equipment readiness, and safety protocols.
- Analyze emissions data and ensure strict QA/QC procedures are performed throughout testing and reporting.
- Serve as a technical point of contact for clients, regulators, and internal teams to communicate project scope, progress, and results.
- Mentor and supervise junior field technicians, providing training and oversight.
- Troubleshoot and maintain analytical and sampling equipment to ensure accurate and reliable performance.
- Support project scoping, scheduling, and budgeting activities.
- Prepare high-quality technical documentation, including regulatory submissions, emissions reports, and field summaries.
- Stay current with emerging environmental regulations, best practices, and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Environmental Technology, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in air quality, emissions testing, or source monitoring.
- Strong technical, analytical, and hands-on equipment skills.
- Ambient air monitoring experience is an asset.
- Previous field or site experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced field environments.
- Willingness to travel and work outdoors, including evenings, weekends, and various weather conditions.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States; valid driver’s license required.
