Location: Lower Mainland, BC | On-Site
Industry: General Contracting / Construction
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Company: Skyline Recruitment (on behalf of our client)
Salary Range: $105,000 – $145,000 + Benefits
About the Opportunity:
Skyline Recruitment is proud to partner with a well-established general contractor in the Lower Mainland to recruit an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in managing residential construction projects.
This is a critical role for a detail-oriented and highly organized construction professional who has full command of the entire construction process. You will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously—typically 2 to 5 at a time—and must be fluent in RFI and Change Order processes, cost control, scheduling, and contractor coordination. Candidates with a general contractor or subcontractor background who can independently run projects from start to finish are encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Be Doing:
In this role, you'll take full ownership of multiple residential construction projects from pre-construction through to completion. You’ll coordinate with consultants, municipal authorities, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all phases of residential construction projects, typically running 2 to 5 projects concurrently.
Lead project scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and reporting functions.
Oversee contract administration, tendering, RFIs, change orders, and cost control.
Coordinate consultants, trades, and municipal stakeholders to ensure timely approvals and execution.
Monitor construction progress, mitigate risks, and maintain project timelines.
Ensure quality control, site safety, and compliance with local building codes.
Serve as the main point of contact for all internal and external project communication.
Provide leadership and direction to site teams and subcontractors.
What We’re Looking For:
5–10 years of progressive project management experience, preferably in residential construction.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience managing RFIs, change orders, cost control, and scheduling.
Proven ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects (2 to 5) independently.
Background in general contracting or subcontracting is highly desirable.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Proficiency with project management software and tools.
Degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or related field.
Why Apply?
Join a reputable general contractor with a significant residential construction pipeline.
Lead multiple full-cycle projects with ownership and autonomy.
Work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with direct access to senior leadership.
Competitive salary from $105,000 to $145,000 plus comprehensive benefits.
Opportunity to deliver quality developments that shape growing communities in the Lower Mainland.
