Job Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager with a proven background in rail and transit projects to join our client's team in Toronto. The successful candidate will oversee and manage the execution of complex transportation projects, ensuring their successful completion within scope, budget, and schedule.
Responsibilities: - Lead and manage rail and transit projects from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor project progress, identifying and addressing any risks or issues.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure efficient project delivery and alignment with client requirements.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs, concerns, and ensuring strong communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare regular progress reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field. A Master's degree is advantageous.
- Proven track record (5-10 years) in managing rail and transit infrastructure projects, preferably within a consulting environment.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage teams and engage stakeholders.
- Experience in contract negotiations, risk management, and procurement processes related to rail and transit projects.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred.
