Construction Project Manager to lead complex, high-value projects in the Peterborough region.
Position Overview The
Project Manager will oversee the full life cycle of major construction projects—from initial planning through execution and closeout. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience managing
projects valued at over $200 million, with the ability to drive performance, maintain strong client relationships, and lead teams to success. Proficiency in
Procore software is essential, along with excellent communication skills and a collaborative, energetic approach to leadership.
Key Responsibilities - Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale ICI or residential projects from inception to completion.
- Utilize Procore to manage all project documentation, schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance to ensure profitability and cost control.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Coordinate and manage project staff, including site supervisors and project coordinators, ensuring alignment on timelines and deliverables.
- Review and approve project drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Monitor construction progress and proactively address challenges to ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope.
- Uphold company standards for quality, health, and safety on all job sites.
- Report regularly on project performance to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications - 8–15 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5+ years in a Project Manager role.
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects ($200M+) from start to finish.
- Strong background in ICI or large residential construction environments.
- Proficiency with Procore project management software (required).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships and foster a positive, team-oriented culture.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, budgets, schedules, and quality control.
- Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
