developer-builder based in
Surrey, BC, to hire a
Senior Project Coordinator / Junior Project Manager with experience in
wood-frame multi-family construction.
This is an ideal opportunity for a construction professional who’s ready to take the next step in their career and gain hands-on experience on the
developer side. The successful candidate will be committed to staying in this role for
at least two years before pursuing advancement, offering stability and long-term growth within the company.
You’ll be joining a close-knit, collaborative team delivering quality low- and mid-rise residential projects across the Lower Mainland.
What You’ll Be Doing: In this role, you’ll provide essential support across the full project lifecycle—from pre-construction through to occupancy. You’ll work closely with senior project managers, consultants, site staff, and trades to ensure project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support project execution from initial design through construction and close-out.
- Coordinate permits, RFIs, change orders, and drawing updates.
- Assist with budget tracking, procurement, and trade management.
- Manage contract administration, tendering, and documentation processes.
- Collaborate with site supervisors to monitor construction progress and resolve issues.
- Maintain project schedules and documentation logs (submittals, safety records, etc.).
- Attend coordination meetings and assist in reporting to internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with municipal requirements and BC Building Code.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–5 years of experience in a project coordination or junior project management role.
- Wood-frame multi-family construction experience is required.
- Prior experience with a developer or general contractor is an asset.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
- Working knowledge of BC Building Code, permitting, and inspection processes.
- Post-secondary education in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
- A minimum two-year commitment to the role is expected before seeking internal advancement.
