Job Description – Junior Noise Engineer Location: Peterborough, ON (with offices across Ontario)

About the Role We’re recruiting on behalf of a leading environmental consulting and engineering firm for a Junior Noise Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to build your career in environmental noise and acoustics while working on meaningful projects across Ontario.
What You’ll Do - Conduct field inspections and collect data from air and noise emission points
- Analyze sound wave propagation, frequency data, and measurement results
- Perform noise modelling using specialized acoustical software
- Assist with preparing Acoustic Assessment reports, Noise Impact/Feasibility Studies, and related technical documents
- Support project teams with noise emission control designs and solutions
- Work outdoors in varying conditions; some travel and overtime may be required
What We’re Looking For - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or related discipline)
- 1–3 years’ experience in environmental noise/vibration (consulting experience an asset)
- Knowledge of Ontario noise/vibration regulations and standards
- Experience with acoustical software (e.g., CadnaA, STAMSON, AERMOD)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
