Intermediate Engineer – Civil, Geological, and Geotechnical
Salary - 90K - 115K (Dependent on experience)
We are hiring for an
Intermediate Engineer specializing in
Civil, Geological, or Geotechnical Engineering for
one of our top clients in Ontario. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to
major mining, hydropower, and infrastructure projects across
Northern Ontario.
About the Opportunity: Our client is a
highly respected engineering consultancy known for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions. This role offers the chance to collaborate with
multidisciplinary teams, engage in
geotechnical design and analysis, and participate in
site investigations and construction oversight. The position also provides opportunities for
domestic and international travel, along with field assignments.
Qualifications & Requirements: - Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Geological or Civil Engineering.
- Registered or eligible for Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration with PEO.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mining, hydropower, and/or infrastructure project development.
- Strong background in geotechnical analysis, design, and field investigations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities: - Plan and participate in geotechnical/hydrogeological site investigation programs.
- Conduct geotechnical and civil engineering analyses and design.
- Oversee construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Coordinate technical work within multidisciplinary teams.
- Manage project activities, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and engineering recommendations.
- Mentor and train junior and intermediate staff.
Projects & Areas of Focus: - Tailings dams and mine infrastructure.
- Geotechnical support for underground and open-pit mining operations.
- Water-retaining structures, hydropower facilities, and pipeline projects.
- Infrastructure development and foundation engineering.
