Geotechnical Engineering Discipline Lead based in
Edmonton, Alberta. This is a strategic leadership role focused on delivering technical excellence across a wide range of projects in infrastructure, land development, and mining.
The successful candidate will lead geotechnical investigations, design, and reporting, while mentoring junior and intermediate engineering staff. This role also includes contributing to business development, collaborating with regional operations, and supporting materials testing through in-house CCIL-certified labs.
Key Responsibilities - Lead geotechnical investigations, design, and technical reporting
- Mentor junior and intermediate geotechnical engineers and materials testing staff
- Ensure technical quality and adherence to safety and industry best practices
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across Alberta
- Engage with clients and support new business opportunities
- Contribute to proposals and support strategic hiring within the geotechnical group
Qualifications - P.Eng. designation (or near completion)
- 6+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering
- Expertise in slope stability, tailings, foundations, and northern geotechnical systems
- Strong leadership and project management experience
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills
Additional Details - Location: Edmonton, Alberta
- Travel: Occasional travel to regional offices within Alberta
