Geologists – Exploration, Underground and Resource Geology

Location: Timmins, Ontario

Skyline Recruitment is supporting several confidential mining companies in the Timmins region with the appointment of experienced geology professionals.

We are interested in connecting with geologists across exploration, underground operations, resource development and technical leadership. Opportunities may be available from senior technical level through to chief, principal and management positions.

Relevant Experience

Depending on the position, suitable candidates may have experience in:

• Gold exploration and resource-development programs
• Drill planning, contractor coordination and core-logging programs
• Geological interpretation and target generation
• Underground production geology and grade control
• Mapping, sampling, ore control and stope definition
• Geological modelling and resource estimation
• QA/QC and database management
• Reconciliation and resource-to-production integration
• NI 43-101 technical reporting
• Managing or mentoring geological teams
• Working closely with mine planning, engineering and operational departments

Candidate Requirements

Candidates should ideally possess:

• A degree in geology, geological sciences or a related discipline
• Canadian mining or exploration experience
• Professional Geoscientist designation in Canada, or eligibility to obtain a P.Geo.
• Experience within underground gold mining, exploration or resource geology
• Strong communication, reporting and technical skills
• The ability to work effectively in a hands-on, site-based environment

Preference will be given to candidates currently based in Timmins or Northern Ontario. However, relocation support may be considered for suitably qualified professionals.

Rotational arrangements may also be considered for certain positions, particularly where appropriate cross-shift coverage can be established.
