About the Role
Skyline Recruitment is representing an established real estate owner currently delivering a major residential project in Richmond. Our client is seeking an experienced Finishing Superintendent to oversee the finishing stages of a high-rise residential development.
This position requires someone who understands residential finishing at a high level and can manage multiple trades, maintain quality standards and drive the project through deficiencies, completion and turnover.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working closely with the General Contractor, consultants, trades and internal project team while representing the interests of the owner.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Managing and coordinating finishing activities across the residential project.
Working closely with trades to maintain production schedules and quality standards.
Managing suites through finishing, deficiencies and turnover.
Reviewing workmanship and identifying quality issues before they become larger problems.
Coordinating inspections, consultant reviews and deficiency walks.
Monitoring trade progress and holding contractors accountable to project schedules.
Working closely with the Project Manager and senior project team.
Tracking outstanding deficiencies and ensuring timely completion.
Supporting occupancy, handover and final project close-out.
Maintaining a safe, organized and professional site environment.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 5+ years’ experience within residential construction.
Strong experience specifically within finishing and interior construction.
Previous high-rise residential finishing experience is strongly preferred.
Experience taking residential units through deficiencies and turnover.
Strong understanding of finishing sequences and trade coordination.
Ability to identify quality issues quickly and work with trades to resolve them.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Confident working with contractors, consultants and ownership representatives.
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving site environment.
