Executive Vice President – Mining & Resource Consulting (Remote – Canada)
About the Opportunity: Skyline Recruitment is working exclusively with a well-established Canadian geological and mining consulting firm to hire an
Executive Vice President to support its next phase of strategic growth.
This fully remote, consultant-based leadership role is ideal for a senior mining or geology professional who brings a mix of technical expertise, operational oversight, client relationship management, and team leadership. The EVP will work closely with the firm’s senior leadership team and play a key role in internal operations, technical execution, and long-term succession planning.
The structure is flexible, consultant-based, and includes the potential for
equity/share participation.
Key Responsibilities: - Oversee technical projects including mineral resource estimates, engineering studies, and NI 43-101 reporting
- Support project planning, scheduling, manpower allocation, and quality control
- Liaise with senior internal consultants and project leads to ensure timely, compliant deliverables
- Lead or support client communication and address any challenges that arise
- Mentor internal consultants (all independent) and help shape team development strategies
- Participate in executive decision-making and contribute to policy or operational improvements
- Engage with regulatory bodies, securities commissions, and professional associations as needed
- Support long-term business development and help manage key client relationships
What We’re Looking For: - 20+ years of experience in mining, geology, or engineering consulting
- Strong technical expertise across resource estimation, mine planning, and NI 43-101 compliance
- Experience with PEAs, PFSs, and feasibility-level studies
- Familiarity with project engineering, cost/schedule oversight, and operations
- Basic understanding of metallurgy (gold/silver concentrate) is an asset
- Professional designation (P.Eng. or P.Geo.) in good standing
- Proven client-facing and issue-resolution skills
- Background working with independent consultants or managing distributed technical teams
- Strategic thinker with strong leadership, communication, and mentorship capabilities
