Environmental Project Manager (Intermediate–Senior)

The Opportunity
Skyline Recruitment is partnering with several well-established environmental consulting firms seeking Environmental Project Managers to support strong and growing project pipelines across the Greater Toronto Area and Southern Ontario.
These roles focus heavily on Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments, Excess Soil Management, remediation, and regulatory compliance, with opportunities available from strong intermediate through senior levels.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Delivery
- Manage environmental consulting projects from proposal through completion.
- Lead delivery of:
- Phase I & II ESAs (CSA Z768/Z769)
- Records of Site Condition (O. Reg. 153/04)
- Excess Soil Management (O. Reg. 406/19)
- Contaminated site assessment and remediation
- Develop work plans, manage schedules, budgets, and resources.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
Technical Oversight
- Review and interpret environmental data and technical reports.
- Support development of:
- Conceptual Site Models
- Risk assessments and remedial action plans
- Excess Soil Destination Assessment Reports (ESDARs)
- Ensure projects meet provincial regulatory and quality standards.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary client contact on assigned projects.
- Liaise with:
- Developers and property owners
- Municipalities and regulatory agencies
- Contractors and field teams
- Support proposal preparation and business development activities.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Mentor junior and intermediate staff.
- Provide technical guidance and QA/QC review.
- Contribute to growth of the environmental practice.
Qualifications
Required
- Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geoscience, or related field.

5–12+ years of environmental consulting experience.
- Strong experience with:
- Phase I & II ESAs
- Contaminated sites and remediation
- Ontario environmental regulations
- Demonstrated project management experience.
Preferred / Assets
- P.Eng., P.Geo., or QPESA/QPRA designation (or working toward).
- Experience with Excess Soil Regulation (O. Reg. 406/19).
- Experience preparing proposals and managing client relationships.
