Senior Environmental Professional with a strong background in site assessments, remediation, and environmental due diligence.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced environmental consultant to step into a leadership role with a growing and respected firm that offers long-term stability, a strong team culture, and a pipeline of interesting, high-impact projects across Ontario. What You’ll Be Doing: In this role, you’ll lead environmental due diligence and remediation projects, working closely with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to deliver high-quality, compliant, and timely work. Your technical expertise will be complemented by your leadership and mentorship skills, helping to guide junior staff and support the continued growth of the group.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead the planning and execution of Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with CSA Standards and O. Reg. 153/04.
- Oversee the design and implementation of soil and groundwater remediation programs.
- Provide technical leadership and QA/QC reviews of reports and project deliverables.
- Mentor and guide junior and intermediate staff.
- Prepare detailed work plans, cost estimates, and scopes of work for new projects.
- Ensure timely and accurate project reporting, meeting both client and regulatory expectations.
- Support business development efforts, maintain strong client relationships, and help grow the firm’s environmental service offering.
- Stay current with evolving environmental legislation and industry best practices.
What We’re Looking For: - Degree or diploma in environmental science, engineering, geology, hydrogeology, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in environmental consulting, preferably in Ontario.
- Strong experience with contaminated site assessments, Brownfields, remediation, and due diligence projects.
- Excellent working knowledge of Ontario environmental regulations and standards, including O. Reg. 153/04 and O. Reg. 406/19.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills — able to liaise with clients, agencies, and internal teams confidently and professionally.
- Leadership mindset with a passion for mentoring and growing technical teams.
- Understanding of hydrogeology, geology, and contaminant transport mechanisms is a strong asset.
- P.Eng. or P.Geo. designation (or eligibility) is preferred.
