Site Superintendent - Institutional, Commercial & Industrial Construction
Location: Western Canada (British Columbia and Alberta)

Position Summary:
We’re sourcing an experienced Site Superintendent to lead commercial, retail petroleum, and light industrial projects across Western Canada.
This position is responsible for daily site operations on projects valued over $20M. You’ll coordinate trades and site personnel, manage schedules, monitor progress, and keep work aligned with project specifications, budgets, and safety standards from mobilization through completion.
The ideal candidate brings at least five years of Superintendent-level experience on ICI-type projects and is comfortable travelling to project sites throughout Western Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion
- Plan and organize site work, including schedules, trade sequencing, staffing, and project resources
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and site personnel
- Monitor progress against schedules, specifications, budgets, and quality requirements
- Identify potential delays or site issues early and work with the project team to resolve them
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to guide field execution
- Maintain safe work practices and ensure site activities meet project safety standards
- Prepare detailed progress reports and schedule updates for clients and internal teams
- Communicate regularly with clients, project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
- Maintain accountability for site performance and successful project delivery
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years of Superintendent-level experience managing construction projects valued over $20M
- Experience in institutional, commercial or light industrial
- Multifamily residential experience is appreciated
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Proven ability to plan site activities, coordinate trades, and manage project schedules
- Proficient computer skills and the ability to adapt to new construction technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel to project sites throughout Western Canada - British Columbia and Alberta
