About the Opportunity: Skyline Recruitment is working with a well-established
tenant improvement (TI) contractor based in
Surrey, BC, to hire a driven and proactive
Business Development Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a sales-oriented professional who thrives in a relationship-driven industry and is looking to grow within a company with a clear niche and strong market reputation.
This role is
remote-friendly, with flexibility to work from home and meet clients throughout
Metro Vancouver as needed. The focus will be on
generating leads, nurturing relationships, and closing new business opportunities. The company has a defined niche and proven delivery track record—which will be discussed in more detail during the interview process.
What You’ll Be Doing: As the Business Development Manager, your role will be to identify and engage with potential clients, generate qualified leads, and help secure new TI projects. You'll work closely with leadership to align business development efforts with company strategy and growth goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and identify prospective clients and project opportunities.
- Conduct outreach via phone, email, networking, and industry events.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with property managers, brokers, and commercial real estate contacts.
- Work with internal estimating and project teams to support bid preparation and proposal submissions.
- Track leads and opportunities through CRM systems and regular reporting.
- Represent the company professionally at client meetings, walk-throughs, and industry functions.
- Support marketing initiatives and assist with presentation materials as needed.
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly activity and sales targets.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–7 years of experience in business development or sales, ideally in the construction, commercial real estate, or building services sectors.
- Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of tenant improvement construction or experience working with developers, landlords, or facility managers is a strong asset.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
- Based in the Lower Mainland with access to a vehicle for local meetings.
